Plan Your Summer

Start with a goal, a wish list, or one new thing you want to try.

May is the perfect time to dream up your Girl Scout summer. Create a bucket list, set a goal, choose a patch program, or pick a few adventures to try along the way. Whether your summer is full of plans or slower days at home, Girl Scouts can be part of it.

Read, Imagine, Explore

Take a story with you wherever summer leads.

The Sunshine Reader’s Club Patch is a fun way to make reading part of your summer adventure. Girls can explore books, audiobooks, graphic novels, and more—then bring stories to life through creativity, conversation, and imagination.

For younger Girl Scouts, Daisy book-based activities offer playful ways to connect reading with teamwork, creativity, friendship, and Take Action ideas.

Want to keep the fun going while you read? Try jotting down a favorite quote, drawing a scene, writing about a favorite character, or keeping a simple summer reading journal.

Get Outside

Step outside, explore something new, and leave the world a little better than you found it.

Summer is the perfect time to follow your curiosity outdoors. Visit a park, enjoy nature close to home, try a new challenge, or discover something new in your neighborhood.

Girl Scouts also know how to make a difference. As you explore, consider joining a cleanup, helping with a community service project, or connecting with a local group that cares for the environment.
