Council Patch Programs
Patch programs enable girls to explore their interests, connect with their community and take action on causes that they care about. Each patch program has a list of required activities girls must complete. Once they do so, they earn a patch that can be placed on the back of their uniform.

Community Partner Patch Programs 
Paving the Way to Success - Ajax – D, B, J, C, S, A
Have you ever wondered about the roads you travel on every day? From discovering about civil engineering, asphalt and the impact roads have on our community, Ajax Paving is helping girl scouts rethink what infrastructure means and how important roads are in their community and in paving the way to a better future! This patch is generously sponsored by Ajax Paving.

The TampaWell Wellness Warrior Patch – D, B, J, C, S, A
Girl Scouts of West Central Florida – get ready to follow the path of a Wellness Warrior! Care for yourself through yoga flows, discover the nutrients behind colorful food, make movement a fun addition to your daily routine, and take action in the community by joining TampaWell on this wellness journey! This patch is generously sponsored by Tampa General Hospital.

TECO Solar Powered - D, B, J, C, S, A
Explore the power of the sun with this energizing patch program created in partnership with TECO (Tampa Electric Company)! Girl Scouts of all ages will discover how solar energy works, how TECO powers communities with the sun, and how solar technology is shaping the future. With hands-on experiments, real-world career connections, and creative Take Action projects, girls will shine as solar leaders in their communities.

Girl Scouting
Girl Scouts of Florida Fun Patch Challenge – D, B, J, C, S, A
Girl Scouts of Florida challenge you to learn fun facts about Florida and more about the uniqueness of the six Girl Scout Councils in the state. PLUS complete one service project along the way!

Volunteer Toolkit Patch – for adult volunteers only (sorry girls!)
Volunteer Toolkit or VTK is a digital resource for leaders, parents and Juliette Girl Scouts. Not only can you create plans for meetings, but you can communicate with your troop and find many ideas for activities. The VTK can make the process of running a troop easier and more efficient. It is a fun and easy patch to earn. (Only for Troop Leaders).
Cost: Free to Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Troop Leaders who complete the digital scavenger hunt.
Attitude of Gratitude – D, B, J, C, S, A
Showing appreciation and gratitude for volunteers is a must. After all, your volunteers are amazing and Girl Scouting wouldn’t be the same without them! This patch program will help girls to learn what appreciation is, what helpers do, and how to show appreciation in both large and small ways through the 3 keys of Discover, Connect, and Take Action.
Life Skills
Make Freedom Count - D, B, J, C, S, A
Learn the history of voting in Florida and earn the Make Freedom Count Patch by completing at least two activities from Discover, Connect and Take Action.

Set a reading goal, complete fun reading missions, explore new books and formats, and share your love of reading with others.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Social Justice
Black History Patch Program – D, B, J, C, S, A
It is important to learn about different cultures. The purpose of the Black History Patch is to learn more about the history and culture of African American people. In 1926, Woodson proposed and launched the annual February observance of “Negro History Week,” which became “Black History Month” in 1976. It is said that he chose February for the observance because February 12th was Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and February 14th was the accepted birthday of Frederick Douglass.

Girl Scouts Global Action - D, B, J, C, S, A
The Girl Scouts Global Action award is an exciting and enriching way for Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors to participate in realizing the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals which aim to reduce extreme poverty and impact major world concerns by 2015. The alliance between WAGGGS and the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals embraces WAGGGS’ mission of empowering girls and young women to develop to their fullest potential as engaged and responsible global citizens. The Global Action Award is an official national award, so you can wear it on the front of your vest or sash, just like a badge.

Hispanic Heritage Month – D, B, J, C, S, A
During Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15–October 15), we celebrate the countless contributions that Hispanic people and Latinos have made and continue to make in the United States. We honor the cultural richness of all people in the U.S. whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Girls and leaders have plenty of activities to choose from to earn this Fun Patch. And regardless of their specific ethnic heritage, they’re sure to learn interesting new things.

Multicultural Patch Program – D, B, J, C, S, A
The Multicultural Patch Program helps girls to discover new cultures while debunking stereotypes and celebrating the uniqueness of cultures around the world. Culture is the word we use to identify the behaviors and traditions certain groups of people share like recipes, traditions, language, music, clothing, and art. When we do not share somebody’s culture, it seems strange to us, but it is important to remember we share a lot more in common than we have in than what we are different.

Make Freedom Count Patch Program - D, B, J, C, S, A

Environmental Stewardship and Outdoor Skills
Conservation Champions - B, J, C, S, A
Environmental stewardship and wildlife conservation education inspires girls to take leadership in their communities to promote a better world. The Conservation Champions patch encourages girls to explore how learning about the environment helps them to develop leadership skills, explore careers, discover how their actions can impact the planet, and learn how to identify and solve problems in their communities.

Florida Manatee - B, J, C, S, A
Protecting our environment and preserving it for future generations is a duty we all share. Manatees, endangered marine mammals, will not survive without the concern and awareness of people who share their habitat. The purpose of this program is to inform and encourage public awareness of the dangers facing the Florida manatee.

Fun with Knots Patch Program, B, J, C, S, A
Have fun and learn the skills needed to thrive in an outdoor environment using knots! Learn how to tie knots, what to use them for. Learn some games you can play, or knots for unique jewelry, plus try your hand at lashing.

GSWCF Pocket Knife Safety Patch Program – D*, B, J, C, S, A
Outdoor skills are an important aspect for girl leadership development, including how to safely use and care for a pocket knives or jackknifes. Help girls learn these important skills with the GSWCF Pocket Knife Safety Patch Program. Younger girls (second year Daisies & Brownies) will learn important progression safety skills. Junior Girl Scouts & up will earn the patch and take the Girl Scout Pocket Knife Safety Pledge. Girls will be required to carry their pledge cards with them for all Girl Scout activities when they are using their pocket knife. To work with girls on this patch program, adult members are required to have Pocket Knife Safety training from GSWCF per Girl Scout Safety Activity Checkpoints.
*Second Year Daisies only. First year Daisies are not allowed to participate in this patch program.

Physical, Mental and Emotional Health
Girl Scout Mental Wellness Patch Program - J, C, S, A
The NEW Girl Scouts Mental Wellness patch program reminds you that you’re never alone in facing challenges and further invites you to dive into and understand your emotions. You can do this by participating in activities, such as making art or writing poetry, that foster resilience and help you to better understand your world. No matter the season, never doubt your ability to rise up, and remember—you got this.
The Mental Wellness patch program was made possible by the HCA Healthcare Foundation and developed in collaboration with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Explore the program and our FREE activities for girls in grades 4–12.
