Girl Scout families are invited to experience a powerful afternoon of storytelling, courage, and compassion at The Florida Holocaust Museum.

Based on Lois Lowry's Newbery Medal-winning novel, Number the Stars shares the story of Annemarie Johansen, a young girl living in Denmark during World War II. When Nazi forces begin targeting Jewish families, Annemarie and her family must make brave choices to help protect their friend Ellen Rosen.

This age-appropriate performance introduces important themes of friendship, bravery, empathy, and standing up for others. It is a meaningful opportunity for Girl Scouts and their families to reflect on what it means to be an Upstander, even when doing the right thing is difficult.

Perfect for students ages 7-17, this special program reminds us that courage can come from anyone, at any age, and that small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference.
