
Lakeland, Fla. — Girls and their families are invited to Girl Scouts of West Central Florida’s (GSWCF) 12th annual STEMapalooza on Saturday, April 6. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Florida Polytechnic University in Lakeland, attendees can explore dozens of activities showcasing the worlds of science, technology, engineering and math.
STEMapalooza is an opportunity for girls to learn about STEM through fun, hands-on activities, explore STEM careers, meet leading women in the STEM field, and discover more about what Girl Scouts has to offer.
With only 25 percent of women in STEM careers, GSWCF is working to help bridge the gender gap by opening this event to not only Girl Scouts and their families, but any girl who is interested in attending. Tickets are $5 for all attendees.
