Reigniting Our Momentum – One More Girl Scout At a Time!
What a month we’ve had! Many of you and your families have endured the unimaginable – and we hope you’ve felt the Girl Scout love as we aim to support you through this journey. Thank you to all who have reached out to express your desire to help our Girl Scout families impacted by the storm, as well as our four camps that endured significant damage. We are wrapping-up October re-energized after an amazing Girl Scout Fest (see photos!) and looking to the possibilities November brings! Prior to the Hurricanes, Girl Scouts of West Central Florida was on track to grow membership for the fifth year in a row. Sadly, we had to cancel many Girl Scout recruiting events during October, which is our peak recruitment month. We were on target to recruit approximately 1,500 new Girl Scouts in October.
Those 1,500 girls are still out there dreaming of being Girl Scouts! Could you help us find them? Let’s make November the new October and rebuild our momentum together -- paving the way for skills-building experiences that make our Girl Scouts life ready for today and tomorrow. Every Troop that recruits at least one more Girl Scout between now and November 15 will choose from a $25 Troop Camping or Program Credit.
Here’s some tips to get started:
- Invite your Girl Scouts to bring a friend to an upcoming meeting to get a taste of Girl Scouting.
- Encourage lapsed members to return to Girl Scouts.
- Share your favorite Girl Scout story and a link to GSWCF.org/Join.
Once you’ve recruited one more Girl Scout for your Troop, choose your $25 Troop incentive:
- GSWCF Program Credits are used to register your Girl Scouts for GSWCF Programs and Events at gswcf.org/events. Program credits can be used for purchasing event tickets online. We cannot guarantee the program event spot will be saved when ‘program credits’ is selected as the payment option. However, you may purchase event tickets with a credit/debit card to secure the spot, then email info@gswcf.org with the event name, attendees names, and amount of credits you are requesting to use. A member of the GSWCF Customer Care Team will refund your original payment method when your program credits are processed. This program credit offer expires September 30, 2025.
- Troop Camping Credit can be used for GSWCF camp reservations to include lodging, facility and equipment rental, challenge course or equestrian programming. Troop camping credits are designed for a troop-led or council-led experience at camp. They cannot be used for Service Unit events. This troop camping credit offer expires September 30, 2025.
