Get ready to explore healthcare like never before! Join Girl Scouts of West Central Florida and HCA Florida for an exciting day that includes a hospital tour and time inside a real Simulation (SIM) Lab. A SIM Lab is a special training space where healthcare teams practice using lifelike manikins and real equipment. This event is a hands-on learning experience created just for Girl Scouts.

In the morning, participants will rotate through interactive stations and demonstrations in a real hospital setting guided by HCA Florida personnel to learn the inner workings of a hospital and its diverse team. At the SIM lab, Girl Scouts will do a mock clinical rotation through various specialty tracks with robotic "patients", practice new skills, and explore both patient-care and behind-the-scenes careers that keep a hospital running. In the afternoon, participants will meet members of the healthcare team during a special panel, followed by a Q&A where Girl Scouts can ask questions and learn what these jobs are really like.

This event is for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors (grades 6-12). Girl Scouts will be grouped by middle school and high school age for their clinical and hospital rotations. This is perfect for girl scouts aspiring to enter the medical field or healthcare industry.

This is a drop-off event. Parents and caregivers are welcome to attend, but space for adults is limited and not guaranteed. If a parent or caregiver attends, they may be asked to help chaperone a group, including a group that is not part of their troop. Adult attendees will not be able to participate in all activities due to space and safety needs, but they will be able to stay with their group during breakfast, lunch, and the panel. Girl Scouts will be supervised by GSWCF staff at all times and follow Girl Scout safety ratios.

Lunch is provided. Dietary restrictions are welcome to bring their own lunch in a personal cooler bag.

Girl Scout uniform is required.

Closed-toe shoes are required. Crocs and open-toe shoes are not allowed for this event and will limit participation in certain activities.

Every Girl Scout who attends will earn an exclusive, event-only HCA Healthcare Careers patch.

This is a learning environment, so participants must follow all safety rules and staff directions at all times. Photo guidelines and permission details will be shared in the confirmation email. Phone usage, including photos, will be restricted during the hospital tour.

Note: This event takes place on Friday 4/3/2026. Many schools have the day off, but families should confirm their school schedule before registering. Drop off is between 8:30-9:00 AM and pick up is between 2:45-3:10 PM.
