This paws-on, interactive event lets Girl Scouts create their own furry friend from start to finish. From stuffing their bear to bringing it to life with the iconic Build-A-Bear Heart Ceremony that is customized just for Girl Scouts!  This experience is sure to be un-bear-lievably fun.

After the ceremony girls can outfit their new friend with vests or tunics featuring matching troop numbers, plus outfits, cookie merchandise, accessories, scents, and more. It's a grr-reat way to make memories that will last fur-ever.

How It Works

At check-in you will receive a $25 voucher towards your choice of bear and/or accessories.

Choose your bear:
Pick your favorite bear or furry friend from our selection. Bear prices range from $16-$28.
Stuff It Together:
With help from our staff, girls will stuff their bear and bring it to life during the classic Build-A-Bear Heart Ceremony, specially tailored for Girl Scouts.
Dress Your Friend:
Get creative and add personality! Choose vests, tunics, accessories, troop numbers, and cookie-themed gear to make your bear one of a kind.
Fun for All:
Whether you're attending with your troop, celebrating a special occasion, or just want to build a new furry friend, everyone is welcome. Participants will be grouped with other Girl Scouts who are also bear-building.

Cost - $25 per participant
The $25 fee is applied toward the purchase of your bear and accessories. Each girl will also receive a customized badge plan with activities she can complete on her own.

Event Policies
* Build-A-Bear Workshops are not drop-off events. All girls must attend with a chaperone.
* Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early so we can get the fun started right on time.

Council Credit
Council Dough earned through the Product Program may be used toward the additional cost of the bear and/or accessories in the store, beyond the $25 voucher.

Event Registration Guidelines:
Events must be paid in full with a credit/debit card to complete the registration process and immediately secure your spot. Council programs and events can be paid for by redeeming your Girl Scout's Council Dough/Council Credit, by selecting "Program Credit" during check out, but this process does not guarantee your spot in the program due to the two to three days of processing time. To ensure your spot is secured at the time of registration, it is recommended that you pay for the event using a credit/debit card and then email info@gswcf.org or call 813-281-4475 to apply credits to the order and reimburse your card. You will be asked to provide the event name, attendees' name(s), and the amount of credits you'd like to apply. For this event we cannot accept Program Credit/Girl Reward.

Adult Chaperones:
All girls are welcome to attend this event but must be accompanied by a registered adult member. If the adult is not her parent/guardian, the chaperone must also have a valid background check.
Adults must register for this event if they will be attending.
Leaders who register for this event as a troop activity must adhere to only bringing enough adults to provide girl/adult safety ratio as described in Volunteer Essentials.

Confirmation Email:
Will be sent out prior to the event's start date. Please refer to the confirmation email for any required forms/waivers. Please print, complete, sign, and bring with you to check-in at the event. If you are not attending with your Girl Scout, please be sure to send the completed documents with her or the chaperone in charge.

* All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and sent directly to info@gswcf.org.
* There will be no refunds or transfers for no-shows. There will be no refunds for bears that were built at the event.
* Event registration refund requests received on or after 2/21/2026 will not be eligible for a refund, except in extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case request.
