Take your camping experience one step further. Learn about girl/adult partnerships, tent camping readiness, and advanced camping skills. This includes compass skills, trail markers, hacksaws, axes, knots and lashing, and Leave No Trace principles. Required for Tent Camping on and off GSWCF properties.
Pre-requisite: Basic Outdoor Leadership Training
Learning Objectives:
- Understanding the Girl/Adult Partnership (becoming an observer/mentor)
- Understand Leave No Trace Principles
- Learn about troop readiness and needed outdoor skills for tent camping experiences. Identify suitable locations for tent camping
- Practice outdoor skills including knots, lashing, hatchets, bow & finger saws, trail markers, compass, and edible plants vs. poisonous plants
- Connect outdoor progressions and 5 Girl Scout outcomes that are important to troop camping or outdoor activities
- Identify outdoor activity resources available for use and where to find them

print, complete, sign, and bring with you to check-in at the
event.
Refund/Cancellation Guidelines:
* All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email and sent directly to info@gswcf.org
* There will be no refunds or transfers for no-shows. Please refer to the training description for information regarding potential no-show fees.
* Refund requests received on or after 6/15/2025 will not be eligible for a refund, except in extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case request.
