This is an ADULT REQUIRED event. You must provide chaperoning for your child in one of two ways:

1) You chaperone you own child/children (must be related for only 1 adult to attend)

2) Unrelated children/troops must be chaperoned by at least TWO unrelated, background checked and registered volunteers and additional background checked and registered volunteers as described in Volunteer Essentials. Adults will not participate in the activities. All adults attending must register for this event. All participating girls and adults must complete the required forms.

Learn about how electronic sensors tell a robot about the world around it, and learn about programming a robot to respond to feedback from a sensor. Expand your programming knowledge with loops and functions, and learn about some development board programming with Arduino along the way. Build a simple box robot that responds to a sensor. Learn about how robots work with sensor feedback by examining a 3D printer. Covers portions of the Programming Robots badge. Tampa Hackerspace can support scouts’ robot prototyping plans for the Designing Robots badge after further consultation with the leaders and scouts participating.
