Our oceans are full of many wonders, both big and small. Unfortunately, some of those big and small wonders happen to be plastic trash. In this live presentation, we’ll “dive” into the topic of plastic marine debris and microplastics – we’ll learn where they come from, how much there is, where they’re found, the problems they cause, and what YOU can do to help!

Here in Pinellas County, FL, plastics and microplastics can be a big problem for the sea turtles that nest here. We’ll also learn all about sea turtle nesting and why it’s so important to keep the beach CLEAN, DARK, and FLAT during nesting season.

You’ll even have an opportunity to earn the coveted Keep Pinellas Beautiful “Watershed Steward” patch when you complete a fun, educational Tic-Tac-Toe game.
