Adult Training: Wilderness First Aid Certification, 2/27/21, 10:00 AM
Learn how to handle common injuries and illnesses when medical care is thirty minutes away or more. This course is designed for those who will travel with girls to remote locations.
Please Note: This training consists of two days of training. Participants must attend both days to complete the course. There are no overnight accommodations.
The sessions will be as follows:
Saturday, February 27, 2021 (10:00 am - 6:00 pm)
Sunday, February 28, 2021 (8:00 am - 2:00 pm)
This course meets the requirements of Level II First Aid as outlined in Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the training to meet with the facilitator in the main parking lot.
Participants should be dressed in comfortable clothes that are weather/environment appropriate and can get dirty/wet.
Participants are required to wear closed-toed shoes.
Participants are required/should bring items on the packing list which will be emailed to you with your training confirmation email. This email will be sent 10 days prior to the training date.
Participants should bring a full, refillable water bottle.
All participants attending this event must complete and return the required forms/waivers prior to the start of the program. Please refer to the confirmation email for the documents. Print, complete, sign, and bring with you to check-in at the training.
