Come out to the Wildwood Equestrian Center and learn about what it takes to make a safe home for our equine friends. You’ll have the chance to jump in and let your inner leader shine as you pitch in with the equestrian facility care and maintenance. You might even get up close and personal with a four-legged friend thanking you for your hard work. (Please note service projects will be assigned based on girl participant’s GS level.)

This is a service day program at our Equestrian Center. Activities may include fence repair, clearing sticks/brush, weeding, litter pick-up, grooming, mucking, etc. Participants will not ride during this program.

Please arrive early as you have to park at the front of camp, behind the Welcome center, and then walk out to the Equestrian Center using the light purple blazes (trail markers) with horses on them. It will take you approximately 15 minutes to walk the trail and get checked in at the Equestrian Center. Before you leave the parking lot, be sure to bring ALL supplies needed.

Girls attending this event will receive a fun patch, which will be provided at the conclusion of the program.

Participants should be dressed in comfortable clothes that are weather/environment appropriate and that they can get dirty/wet.

Participants are required to wear closed-toed shoes.

All necessary equipment will be provided to use during the program.

Participants are required/should bring work gloves.

Participants should bring a full, refillable water bottle and are welcome to bring a snack.

This is a family event open to everyone (membership not required).

All girls are welcome to attend this event but must be accompanied by a registered adult member. If the adult is not her parent/guardian, the chaperone must also have a valid background check.

Adults must register for this event if they will be attending.

Leaders who register for this event as a troop activity must adhere to only bringing enough adults to provide girl/adult safety ratio as described in Volunteer Essentials.
