On August 7, our Outreach team held a Court of Awards Ceremony for the 277 Girl Scouts who participate through a grant from the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County. These girls meet on a weekly basis at Neighborhood Family Centers and after care centers across Pinellas County. The girls worked hard this year earning badges, selling cookies, and developing the leadership skills that last a lifetime.
COVID caused their troop meetings to become virtual, and their Court of Awards was no exception. The ceremony showcased what the girls had accomplished last year, with pictures from the year's adventures as well as slides dedicated to the awards each girl earned.
Here are some highlights from their ceremony. (Please note: all pictures were taken prior to social distencing guidelines.)
