Though GSUSA has launched the updated member system, our council's Customer Connections Team is busy getting up to speed with the new backend system management while also processing all backlogged cases they received during the downtime. This will be their focus for the week of Dec. 7 and we will resume our regular Customer Connections service to all members on Dec 14.

GSUSA has relaunched the MyGS portal on the website with the NEW LOOK! To get started, you’ll need to reset your account password
Look for an email from Girl Scouts to your primary email account with a link to reset your Girl Scout account password. Your email should arrive sometime between Dec. 6 - 8. Once you receive your email, simply click on the Reset Password link, follow the steps provided, and you’ll be all set to begin exploring Girl Scouts’ new member portal!
Can’t find the email? No problem. You can still get started. Just visit gswcf.org, click on "MyGS", follow the system provided prompts and guidance.
We have reached the end our member system downtime and are entering into the launch phase of the refreshed member account management system designed with you in mind. The new portal (which will eventually be named “myAccount” instead of “MyGS”) will make it simpler to manage the Girl Scour experience for your household (and troop). Once the upgrade is complete and we are back online you will once again have access to your family’s membership information, activity registration, Volunteer Toolkit, gsLearn and more.

WHAT DID THE DOWNTIME MEAN FOR YOU?
From November 18 through December 7, Girl Scouts was undergoing system-wide updates that paused access to anything within your MyGS member management account including:
- your family and troop profile
- The Volunteer Toolkit (VTK)
- gsLearn (volunteer online training platform)
- Looker (service unit admin team reporting resource)
The update also meant that we could not process any membership registrations or renewals. Additionally, the processing and screening for all volunteer background checks – new and renewing – was restricted through early December.
As the systems come back online, you should eb able to cone again access the various features through the new portal. Please refer to the info below if you have any trouble.
HOW TO I JOIN OR RENEW?
Joining or renewing your membership is easy! Simply complete our form and a staff member will be in touch to help you start your Girl Scout experience!
HOW DO I REGISTER AS A VOLUNTEER?
Just like registering your girl, all you need to do is complete our form and a staff member will be in touch to help you become a volunteer. However, any background checks not completed before November 18 will be considered incomplete and we will have to postpone your volunteer engagement until post Go-Live when your eligibility status can be confirmed.

As gsLearn will be down while we're upgrading, webinars will be unavailable to view during this time. In-person trainings are available. You can register for them here.
WHAT IF I NEED MORE HELP?
Girl Scout staff members will also be unable to access any member systems during the downtime. This means we will be unable to help you in the VTK, make troop changes, change contact information, complete background checks, add volunteer roles, or perform other similar tasks.

- For all emergency needs, please email us using "Emergency" in the subject line. Due to our limited capacity to respond, we will be prioritizing emergency needs (like girl and volunteer safety) for timely responses prior to Dec. 7.
HOW CAN I PREPARE TO LEAD MY TROOP WITHOUT THE VTK?
Troop co-leaders should download any VTK meetings plans they will need during the downtime. Troop co-leaders will not be able to access or use the VTK from November 18 to December 7.
Troop co-leaders should also pull member rosters and any contact information they will need during the downtime from the VTK before November 18.
