2019 Cyber Conference

Florida-Cyber-Conference-2019-Day-2-199_v1_current

Cyber Florida, one of our STEM Partners, once again invited us to participate in the Florida Cyber Conference at the Tampa Bay Convention Center on Oct. 25. The Florida Cyber Conference welcomed more than a thousand guests from industry, government, military, law enforcement and academia to participate in workshops, panel discussions, hacking demos, networking, and a range of engaging speakers and topics.

This year, in addition to our Media Girls having the opportunity to attend presentations with STEM enthusiasts and participate in the Cyber challenge, GSWCF was able to have an exhibitor booth where we featured our new Cybersecurity badges, networked with potential program partners, and showcased Girl Scout's commitment to closing the gender gap in STEM professions.

At the conference I learned a lot of new things about the cyber security badges. It was fun to teach others who had little sisters, daughters, granddaughters,  or even interested themselves in the Girl Scout program!   Olivia Lucas

If your Girl Scout is passionate about technology, you should check out our new Cyber Security and Coding For Good badges, that teach girls to protect themselves and their data online and use their coding skills to create aps and games that help make the world a better place.
