The new program year is almost here. Holy cow! We have a jam packed year of incredible opportunities and activities for you to experience in Girl Scouts. But seriously, our program team and partners have all joined forces to make your Girl Scout experience one that you will never forget. Check out the Program Events & Family Guide for all the deets. We literally have something for EVERYONE – from the youngest of Daisies to Gold Award Girl Scouts this guide has events and programs that will help you unleash your creative, adventurous, analytical, musical sides and beyond.  

2018-2019 Program Events & Family Guide

From learning to latest trend in robotics, zip lining on a tree lined trail, watching a Broadway musical to spending the night in the wilderness – We are giving you all the tools you need to unlock an endless world of possibilities.  

Whether you’re brand new to our program or a returning scout, this guide is a great resource filled with tons of info to keep and refer back to throughout the whole year.

So what’s new this year?  Great question, we’re glad you asked!

We have over 150 unique programs for Girl Scouts to participate and several have multiple dates and time options available to fit your busy schedules. Some are fan favorites back by popular demand and others are completely new and totally fun.  

High Adventure
You asked for more high adventure and we’ve delivered! New to the guide this year is a whole section dedicated to our risk-taking, thrill seeking, adrenaline junkies out there. From paddling on the bay, exploring caves to launching down the zip line or taking your first breathe underwater in a SCUBA class – we’ve got the next item to check off your bucket list covered.  Pages 16-17

Sleepovers
Who loves a good sleepover? WE DO! We’ve partnered with Busch Gardens, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, The Florida Aquarium and MOSI for awesome overnight experiences – but trust us, this is nothing like sleeping in your friend’s living room. Girls can go on sea turtle nesting patrols, design and build a robot, wander through haunted houses or drift off to sleep next to an aquatic habitat these sleepovers are what dreams are made of!  Pages 18-19

Older Girls
We’ve got tons are specialty programs just for our Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors. As you browse the guide, you’ll see programing specifically designed for older girls in mind whether it is advanced skill based, mentoring, learning about budgets and credit or planning for future careers. We want to you to grow as leaders and be prepared for a lifetime of success with relevant programs you won’t find anywhere else.

Adults
Volunteers, parents, guardians or any adults wanting to be involved with Girl Scouts – We have our Adult Training opportunities listen in the guide on pages 42-45 plus a few others are sprinkled in throughout the guide too. This is your chance to become certified in specific programs or develop new skills for working with girls. Your dedication to serving girls is inspiring and we want to help you grow and be prepared.

This blog is just a small glimpse of the insanely awesome programs and information that fills all 51 pages of the Program Events & Family Guide. We didn’t even mention the programs related to Outdoors, STEM, Equestrian, Sports, Arts & Theater, College & Career, Entrepreneurship, Environmental, Leadership and so much more!

Registration

September & October Programs

Join us for GS Fest 2018 on Sept. 22 from 10 am – 3 pm at the Florida State Fairgrounds. GS Fest is the best way to get a sneak peek at all of the amazing events, activities, and experiences happening during the 2018-19 Girl Scout year.
