Meet our Staff
Cara/“RC,” Camp Director, Camp Wildwood
“RC” is a Georgia transplant and spent her early years learning
about nature by exploring the woods, waters, and more. She furthered
her love of the outdoors through a variety of environmental studies
for her Bachelors and Masters degrees at the University of Florida.
She loves teaching others about nature and how we can all help protect
and preserve it. This will be her sixth summer as the director at Camp
Wildwood and she can’t wait to see everyone!
Kristen/“Hunter,” Equestrian Manager, Camp Wildwood
“Hunter” is a passionate equestrian who started out as a working student. She’s certified as an equine sports massage therapist and kinesiologist and uses her talent and education to help horses in all disciplines. She has experience in endurance riding, English hunter/jumpers, as well as western/rodeo riding. This will be her first year at summer camp and she has exciting new programs and activities planned for every level of rider. She’ll also open up working student positions and a special interest troop for riders who are interested in a career in horsemanship and competition.
Linda/“Nike,” Camp Director, Camp Wai Lani
“Nike” grew up attending Girl Scout camp in Arkansas as a Girl Scout Junior. She continued to work as a counselor and administrative staff at her childhood camp while attending college. After graduating with a degree in Recreation Administration and working as a park ranger for a few years, she returned to Girl Scouts and directed camp for 10 years in her home state before finding her place with Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. After more than 20 years at camp, her proudest moments are when she’s able to work with a scared or anxious camper to try a new activity, especially when they end up loving it!
