Horsewomanship
For girls entering grades 3–6
$580/girl
A spinoff of our Equine Science session where you can learn how your
horse communicates. You’ll also learn how to properly care for your
equine friend in and out of the barn, on the trail, and more. Great
for girls who have never touched or ridden a horse before and are
nervous about their first experience.
Giddy Up
For girls entering grades 3–6
$580/girl
Western riding: Learn how to groom, saddle, ride, and steer your
horse! Learn about the different types of jobs you can do with your
Western horse professionally and in competition. Work toward fun
activities like a trail ride or arena games.
Heads Up, Heels Down
For girls entering grades 3–6
$580/girl
English riding: Learn how to groom, saddle, ride, and steer your
horse! Learn about the fun competitions and disciplines like jumping
over fences and fallen logs. Work toward fun activities like a trail
ride or arena games.
Equine Science
For girls entering grades 3–7
$580/girl
Western or English riding: Interested in a career with horses? This
week is for you! When you’re not riding, you’ll hear from a variety of
guest speakers in the equine science field. A veterinarian and a
blacksmith are just two of the people you’ll have the chance to meet
and ask all of your questions.
Happy Trails
For girls entering grades 5–9
$580/girl
Western or English riding: Learn about horse and trail safety, make
fun trail crafts, and ride your horse on the shady trails of Camp
Wildwood. You’ll groom, saddle, and steer your own horse at the walk.
Girls will ride trails at a walking pace 2–3 times (weather permitting).
Intermediate Sessions
Girls should be able to steer their own horse safely while walking
and have begun to learn to steer their own horse while trotting.
They must have attended at least two horse camps or have
equivalent experience prior to attending an intermediate level horse camp.
Boots and Buckles
$580/girl
For girls entering
grades 5–9
Western riding: Learn to care for and ride
your horse like a cowgirl! You’ll learn about roping, reining, and
other arena games. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to work with
your horse as a team to complete a fun obstacle course challenge!
Girls must have completed a basic Western riding camp (ex: Giddy Up).
Puddle Jumpers
$580/girl
For girls entering grades 5–9
English
riding: Learn to care for and ride your horse like a true equestrian!
You’ll learn about show jumping, eventing, and more. Most importantly,
you’ll learn how to work with your horse as a team to get over cross
rails together!
Girls must have completed a basic English riding camp (ex: Heads
Up, Heels Down).
Intro to Mounted Archery
For girls entering grades 5–12
$580/girl
Combine your love of horseback riding with your love of archery.
Take on the challenge of mounted archery and bring your riding skills
to a new level.
Advanced Session
Girls should be able to steer their own horse safely while walking
and trotting, and have begun to learn to steer their own horse while
cantering. They must have attended at least two horse camps
or have equivalent experience prior to attending an advanced level
horse camp.
Mounted Archery
For girls entering grades 7–12
$580/girl
Combine your love of horseback riding with your love of archery.
Take on the challenge of mounted archery and bring your riding skills
to a new level. You’ll build on your skills by starting to shoot while
at a walk towards the end of the week.
Girls must have completed at least TWO GSWCF horse camps
previously, preferably including Intro to Mounted Archery.
