Spend your days enjoying a little bit of Florida paradise at Camp Wai Lani. With easy access to the bay, girls can choose from canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding while exploring the unique marine environment in the water, or at our marine lab. And that’s not all at Camp Wai Lani. Take a risk, and tackle the climbing tower and zip line.* Try your hand at archery, sewing, and arts and crafts. Explore the world of STEM, or practice martial arts or dancing. Your summer is bound to be an action-packed adventure! Overnight campers will enjoy dinnertime fun, evening programs, and cabin life. For those staying a full week, every Friday night brings our fabulous all-camp luau celebration with music, dancing, traditional luau-inspired food, and entertainment at our popular “Campitheater” stage.

Whether you come for our traditional camp experience or choose one of our specialty horse camp sessions, you are in for a wild experience! And it’s not all horseplay, there’s so much more to explore at Wildwood. Our largest camp is the perfect setting to get outdoors in a nurturing atmosphere so you can grow and learn new things about yourself and others. Enjoy archery, visits to our renowned nature center, hiking, making frontier crafts, swimming, campfires, and more. Friday ends the week with a celebration at our special camp-wide Barn Bash!

Western riding: Not quite ready for a whole week in the saddle? This half week horse camp is just for you. Get to know the Wildwood horses while you learn about grooming, saddling, and riding basics during staff assisted rides, all while having a blast in the barn!

Western Riding: Learn to care for and ride your horse like a cowgirl! You’ll learn about roping and how to work with your horse as a team to complete a fun cowgirl roundup course!

Western riding: This is the perfect camp for beginners who want to learn the basics of horsemanship and riding, and have fun doing it! You’ll get to play games on and off your horse, groom, and even paint your horse!

For intermediate riders entering grades 6 — 12
Bareback riding: Ever tried riding without a saddle? Learn how to properly sit, play games, and maybe even trot as you experience the freedom of bareback riding. Plus, you’ll have the chance to try equestrian yoga, and lunging.

Western riding: Learn how to groom and saddle, as well as ride and steer your horse all by yourself! Work toward fun activities like a trail ride and arena games.

Western Riding: Ever wanted to do your two favorite things—horseback riding and archery—at the same time? Learn the history of, and take the fist steps toward practicing mounted archery! Girls entering grades 6–12 have the option to spend Saturday night at camp and attend the advanced mounted archery session (below) for an additional fee. Combine your love of horseback riding with your love of archery. Take on the challenge of mounted archery and bring your horsemanship skills to a whole new level.

Western riding: This is the perfect camp for beginners who want to learn the basics of horsemanship and riding, and have fun doing it! You’ll get to play games on and off your horse, groom, and even paint your horse!

Western or English riding: Interested in a career with horses? This week is for you! When you’re not riding, you’ll hear from of a variety of guest speakers in the equine science field. A veterinarian and a blacksmith are just two of the people you’ll have the chance to meet and ask all of your questions.

Take it back to the 1800’s! Experience the lifestyle of early settlers as you take part in activities like churning butter, preparing meals on an antique stove, and creating corn husk dolls. You’ll even get to sleep out at Camp Wildwood’s Homestead for a night or two during your week at camp.

Family Camp

Family Camp

(Thursday 10 a.m. – Saturday 10 a.m.),  starting at $85/person

Come relax, unwind, and connect as a family at Camp Wildwood for the 4th of July. Take part in camp activities led by GSWCF staff such as archery, nature hikes, animal encounters and cooking classes. Take advantage of special child- and adult-only sessions, pool time and more! Plus, enjoy a campfire cookout with sparkler fun to celebrate the 4th of July. Families have the option to reserve their own cabin or share a cabin with another family.

Create! Innovate! Invent! From the natural world to virtual reality, STEM day camp lets you dig deep, dream big and reach the stars. We'll bring you into the world of innovators, scientists, engineers and more.

STEM Camp has a new home—Camp Dorothy Thomas! When you’re not exploring the world of STEM, you’ll have the chance to enjoy traditional camp activities like swimming and archery. On Fridays, enjoy a full day of traditional camp fun.

June 10-14: Undercover G.I.R.L. Agent at Camp Dorothy Thomas, girls entering grades 2-8
Go on an undercover adventure this summer as you create a cryptex lock, puzzles, and secret codes that your friends can decode. Explore the science behind fingerprinting, black-lighting and lock-picking as you follow the clues. Should you choose to accept this top-secret mission, you will compete with your fellow campers to solve mysteries with your forensic toolbox.  

June 17-21: The Mystical World of STEM at Camp Dorothy Thomas, girls entering grades 1-8
Dust off your hat and robe and get ready to make magic at STEM camp. Engineer a catapult to launch your golden snitch, build your own wand, and test out some spells. Dabble in science and alchemy as we make delicious explosions in the kitchen. Then dive into the world of whimsy and concoct flavored lip-gloss, create your own tiara, and use your magical powers to slay the dragon.

Get out of your comfort zone and hit the road (or the trails) this summer! Join us for an awesome adventure in nature while you make memories that last a lifetime! All travel camps will be supervised by highly trained GSWCF staff.

Please note: All travel camp itineraries are subject to change due to weather and off-site location availability. Travel camps do not include horseback riding at Camp Wildwood.

Survival Excursion

June 16 - 22, girls entering grades 7 — 12, $600/girl
Check in: Sunday, 3 p.m., Check out: Saturday, 10 a.m. at Camp Wildwood

Challenge yourself as you take on the natural environment and the four core components of survival: water, shelter, fire, and food. No matter your experience level, you’ll learn to prepare for two nights sleeping in a local forest or campground while you put your survival skills to the test during off-camp excursion. 

11-DAY CAMP! North Carolina Mountain Adventure

July 24 -  Aug. 3, girls entering grades 9 — 12, $835/girl

Back by popular demand, join us for 11 days of adventure starting at Camp Wildwood with team building activities, trip preparation, and traditional camp activities. Then we’ll hit the road and head to the mountains of North Carolina for thrills such as whitewater kayaking, waterfall treks, hiking, and more along the Green River and surrounding areas. We’ll return to Camp Wildwood in time for the end of summer Barn Bash!
