Girl Scouting 101

This course is required for all volunteers before starting a volunteer position and has been designed to convey the vision, values and goals of Girl Scouts. 

Want to be a voting member of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida

Delegate Training

This course is required before serving as a delegate or alternate at the annual meeting.

Would like to help maintain a favorable image of Girl Scouting in the community

Public Relations and Communications Coordinator Training

This course is required when you are asked to work with the media within your communities to promote upcoming local events, and Girl Scouting in general.

Want to encourage financial support for Girl Scouts

Family Partnership Champion Training

This course is required for all Family Partnership Champions.  These community volunteers will learn to share the Girl Scout story of leadership and personal growth for girls to encourage financial support from Girl Scoutfamilies.  

Have been a volunteer for a few years with knowledge of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE)

GSLE Coach Training

This course is required for all GSLE Coaches.   You will learn how to support, assist and motivate volunteers by grade level and/or pathway to assist them in transferring their passion and personal skill set into the GSLE for all girls.  This course is only available in a classroom setting.

Would like to help with the extension and retention of girls and adults. Help coordinate meetings and collaborate with the Community Team

Community Coordinator Training 

This course is required for all Community Coordinators. Participants will learn how to set goals and strategies to recruit, engage and retain girls and volunteers. Provide support and recognition to adult volunteers and promote effective communication in their community

Enjoy community cultivation, networking and Girl recruitment

Recruiter (Girl/Adult) Training

This course is required for all Volunteer Recruiters. Participants will learn how to develop and implement community focused strategies for recruiting and engaging adult volunteers and girls. This course is only available in a classroom setting.

Possess excellent customer service skills, want to help place girls in troops and provide support to troop leaders

Troop Pathway Coordinator Training

This course is required for all Troop Pathway Coordinators.  Participants will learn how to help troops get established and how to provide logistical and administrative support to all troop volunteers within assigned community. This course is only available in a classroom setting.

Enjoy planning events, day and overnight camps or short term meetings  for girls

Camp/Event/Pathway Coordinator Training

This course is required for all Camp and Event Pathway Coordinators. In this course, participants will learn the responsibilities and mechanics of planning and coordinating an event or camp, practice goal setting and planning and creating safety management plans with an emphasis on inclusion and girl/adult planning. This course is only available in a classroom setting.

Possess financial management skills

Accounting Coordinator

This course is required for all Accounting Coordinators. In this course participants will learn to oversee bank accounts and monthly financial reporting of all troop/groups within  assigned jurisdiction.
