"Come right over! I've got something for the girls of Savannah, and all America, and all the world, and we're going to start it tonight!"Juliette Gordon Low to her cousin Nina Anderson Pape in 1912
From March 12, 1912, when Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia, for the first Girl Scout meeting, Girl Scouts has grown into the preeminent leadership development organization for girls.
As we approach our 100th year of Girl Scouting, we’re commemorating more than just an anniversary milestone; we’re celebrating 100 years of Juliette Gordon Low’s vision and the girls and women who’ve been touched by it. Girl Scouts of West Central Florida invites you to celebrate building girls of courage, confidence, and character for 100 years.
