· Maruchi Azorin Blanco, M.B.A., founder and owner of Villa Rosa Distinctive Linens, one of Tampa’s most successful specialty stores. Ms. Blanco is involved with the Mayor’s Hispanic Advisory Council, the MOSI Board of Directors and the United Way of Hillsborough Country, among others. She also created the MOSI National Hispanic Scientist of the Year event in 2001, honoring Hispanic scientists who excel in the public education of science.

For more than 20 years, Susan Churuti has significantly contributed to the practice of local Florida law. Her philanthropic activities include working with the Stuart Society of the Museum of Fine Arts, the Florida Orchestra and the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida. She is currently the vice chancellor of the St. Petersburg Deanery of the Diocese of Southwest Florida.

A founding member of the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center (now David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts) and the Tampa Museum of Art, Carol Morsani also works with the Salvador Dali Museum, Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute, the Florida Orchestra and Hillsborough County Heart Association, among others. Her commitment to the arts and sciences earned her the Philanthropist of the Year Award in 1997 from the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.

· Seretha Summers Tinsley finds time while managing several family businesses to stay active in her community. Ms. Tinsley co-founded Chain of Lakes Achievers, an achievement center dedicated to empowering youth through tutoring, leadership and life skills. She also gives her time to various community organizations, including the NAACP Youth Council, the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce and the First Missionary Baptist Church.
