Earn the Volunteer Service Award
Did you know that Girl Scouts of West Central Florida is a certifying organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award program?
The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a presidential honor that recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers nationwide who are answering President George W. Bush’s call to serve others through their current volunteer activities or lifetime service. As a certifying organization, GSWCF will identify eligible recipients, verify their service hours and order the awards for outstanding volunteers. The cost of the awards ranges from $2 to $3 per person.
If you meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the table below, we invite you to apply for the award. Many of you may already meet the requirements!
Eligible volunteer service hours are not limited to those performed on behalf of Girl Scouting. Service hours can be accumulated through work on a variety of projects throughout the year. The only requirement is that the hours be completed within 12 months; you can qualify for a new award each year.
The President’s Volunteer Service Award website can help you keep track of your service hours. Create an account at www.presidentialserviceawards.gov and provide Record of Service Key RMH-8866. This will link your account directly to the account of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida so that we can certify your volunteer hours.
