Email this page / Print this page / Text size adjust: A A A

This section contains additional information for the Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. Safety-Wise publication. Please refer to the Safety-Wise publication for guidelines and further information.

Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Troops can obtain a free copy of Safety-Wise from the The Girl Scout Store with a voucher from your Service Unit Manager.

Safety-Wise provides guidance regarding health and safety procedures for Girl Scouts. Basic Safety and Security Guidelines begin on page 30 of Safety-Wise. This section highlights the importance of girl safety and the need for good judgment from leaders, “Traveling Troops” notification procedures are introduced and guidance for adults planning with girls is included. Safety-Wise outlines the training needed for Girl Scout First Aiders on page 36. All Girl Scout First Aiders must have documentation of First Aid and CPR training.

Service Unit Managers will provide Troop/Group Leaders (registered as Adult Position 01) with a coupon to be redeemed at The Girl Scout Store for a complimentary copy of Safety-Wise. This book is for troop use as long as needed. If you are the Troop/Group Leader and do not receive a coupon, contact your Service Unit Manager.
