GSWCF is active in the world of social media, and we invite you to join us!

Why become active in social media, you may ask? It is quickly becoming the preferred method of communication by our members – both girls and adults alike. Not only that, but it’s a great way for us to reach our audience in the places you are already – Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.

This doesn’t mean, however, that we’ll discontinue our other avenues of communication, including GS Express and Connect! You can still find those in your e-mail inbox monthly (GS Express), and your mailbox quarterly (Connect! ).

We invite you to connect with us in cyberspace!

If you have a Facebook page, click on the icon to the left and become a fan of Girl Scouts of West Central Florida! Here you will find council updates, as well as have the opportunity to participate in discussions with other fans. If you don’t have a page, sign up for one and join us!

Become a fan of the Girl & Adult Leadership Department’s page page for updates, information, and job-specific tips and tools to make your Girl Scout experience more rewarding. Let them know what you need and provide feedback – they’re listening!

If you tweet, follow us on Twitter by clicking on the icon to the left. Your request will be approved to follow us once it’s been reviewed by our marketing team. These updates – or tweets – of 140 characters or less are quick ways to receive council updates.

Check out our YouTube Channel, where we post informational and compelling Girl Scout videos to share what Girl Scouts in West Central Florida are doing to gain leadership skills or news you need to know. Simply click on the icon to the left to stay updated when we post new videos; subscribe to our channel by clicking on the subscribe button at the top.

You can submit videos, too! Contact Chief Marketing Officer Kristin Whitaker if you have a video of Girl Scouts doing great things or sharing their Girl Scout stories. We will review and possibly upload it to our page!

View our Flickr page filled with photos. Simply click on the link to the left to see the latest and greatest happenings in Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.

Welcome to the world of social media – we hope to see you soon in cyberspace!
