Email this page / Print this page / Text size adjust: A A A

Being a Girl Scout today means being part of a worldwide organization that builds leadership skills by providing girls with opportunities to discover their interests, connect with others, and take action.

March 12, 2009, is the 97th anniversary of Girl Scouting.

During Girl Scout Week, March 8 – 14, Girl Scouts of all ages celebrate by demonstrating courage, confidence, and character in ways that have real impact on their communities.

We wish to thank all of you in our community who’ve given your time, talent, resources and financial donations so that we may continue with the Girl Scout legacy of service to others. As Girl Scouts across the country celebrate 97 years of community service, we remain committed to helping

Who We Are

Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (GSWCF) provides Girl Scouting to nearly 30,000 girls in our eight-county jurisdiction of Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Marion, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter counties.

What We Do

The Girl Scout program is the world’s best personal growth and leadership development model for girls. Girl Scouts discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together while participating in girl-led activities.

Join/Volunteer Today

Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5 – 17 who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law; and adults over the age of 18 who accept the organization’s principles and beliefs as stated in the Preamble of the Constitution of Girl Scouts of the USA. Annual membership dues are $10 for girls and adult members, and a wide variety of short-term and long-term volunteer positions are available.

Reconnect/Donate/How to Help

Did you know that more than 53% of all women business owners are Girl Scout alumnae?

Every $250 of operating income means one more girl will benefit from Girl Scouting. All gifts, large or small, help ensure girls in West Central Florida are nurtured, empowered and guided through the programs of Girl Scouting. Girl Scout Week is another great time of year to join, volunteer, reconnect, or donate to Girl Scouts of West Central Florida.
