Join Girl Scouts

Welcome to the Girl Scouts, where we build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

As a member of the world’s preeminent organization dedicated to girls ages 5 through 17, your daughter will meet with other girls at her age level to take part in our non-formal educational program that builds leadership skills and a desire to serve the community. For girls ages 5-17 whose schedules do not permit regular group meetings, individual membership is an option.

For more information about membership opportunities in your area, please complete the Member Join Interest form (will open in a new window). Completing this form does not guarantee placement in a Girl Scout troop. Placement requests are processed in the order in which they are received.

Membership, Cost & Uniforms

Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5-17 who accept the Girl Scout Promise and Law; and adults over the age of 18 who accept the organization’s principles and beliefs as stated in the Preamble of the Constitu­tion of Girl Scouts of the USA. Beginning with the 2009-2010 membership year (Oct. 1), annual membership dues are $12 for both girl and adult members; uniforms are not required.
