Girl Scouts of West Central Florida relies heavily on donations from parents, local United Ways, corporations, foundations and friends to support programs that encourage girls to Discover (understand themselves and their values); Connect (care about, inspire and team with others locally and globally); and to Take Action (act to make the world a better place). Parents are never asked to pay the true cost of Girl Scouting. In fact, the council subsidizes each girl’s experience by approximately $300 annually.

• Programs to nearly 30,000 girls in grades K-12

• Background checks for all adult volunteers

• Volunteer training for nearly 13,000 adult members

• Resource Centers stocked with program kits and resources

• The equestrian facility at Camp Wildwood with outstanding equestrian programs

• Five accredited camps with exceptional outdoor education programs

• Science, technology, engineering, robotics and math programs in collaboration with national and state organizations
