It’s not too late to participate in this fall leadership development and troop money-earning program! Girls must have parent permission to participate in the QSP/Nut Fall Product Sale Program. Contact your troop leader for information on how you can participate in this important council sponsored money earning program.
Why Participate?
Troops with 10 girls, each selling three magazines, 20 nut/candy
items and one address book with 10 names will earn approximately
$283 in proceeds. And each girl will earn patches for her vest or
sash and unique recognitions.
Last Chance
Reminders and Tips
We’re nearly three weeks into the fall product sale program. Have
you contacted your family and friends and let them know how they can
help you achieve your personal and troop goals? You might want to
check with them to see if they want a can of cashews or other great
tasting nut product. Or they may want to renew or order new
magazines. Remind them they only have until Sunday, Oct. 11 to
order, so encourage them to take a look at all the nuts, candy and
magazines before its too late.
Girls, you can also go to the QSP Online Program link at the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida website and register, complete the online safety program activity and add your customers’ e-mail addresses. You can let your friends and family know what a great gift a magazine will make for someone, children especially. What fun they will have when they get their magazine in the mail, just like mom and dad.
Don’t Forget the
Troop Bonus
The more you sell, the better chance your troop has to earn a $40
gift certificate to the Girl Scout Store. Remember, troops that earn
$200 or more in proceeds (QSP and nuts combined) get to go shopping!
The 2010 Cookie Program – Inspired by U
Volunteers/Troop Leaders, is your troop ready for cookie season? Are your girls making plans, budgeting and setting goals for the future? These are the first steps when getting ready for the 2010 cookie season. Girls will be more inspired to reach their goals by participating in these skill building activities as a troop.
“Inspired by U” Theme
Girls and their troop leaders will be “inspired” by all the fun and exciting activities provided by Little Brownie Bakers for the 2010 cookie season. Cookie curriculum books for each age level will be available from your service unit cookie program manager in November.
Troop Cookie Program Manager
Now is the time for troop leaders to choose a troop cookie program manager. This important volunteer position works closely with the troop leader to bring the cookie program to life for the girls. This is a great position for a dad or mom who is organized, computer savvy and enjoys working with the girls.
Girl Scouts Partner with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Have you checked the GSWCF website to see the opportunity that Girl Scouts of West Central Florida has in teaming up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to promote our 2010 Cookie Program? GSWCF will make a special purchase of cookies to be sold at cookie booths set up at the Jan. 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons. A lottery for Cadette, Senior and Ambassador troops will take place in November for the cookie booths at this special “kick-off” to the 2010 cookie program.
To purchase Buccaneer game tickets to any home game at a discounted rate, visit our website and help GSWCF earn up to $10 per ticket.
