It’s Time For…
On-Time Registration!
Mark your calendars! In recognition and support of
efforts to meet the 2009/2010 “On-Time” registration
deadline (Sept. 30), we are pleased to announce that
special registration celebration events have been
planned!

Camp Wildwood, the Lakeland Branch Office and the Tampa
Service Center
Thursday, Sept. 24
6 – 8 p.m.
Ocala Branch Office, Lakeland Branch Office and Tampa
Service Center
Service unit registrars are asked to review and confirm registration packets prior to drop off at offices/camp. GSWCF staff will be at each site to collect registrations and distribute on-time patches for each registration turned in at that particular event. (Patches will be delivered at a later date for all those who meet the on-time deadline but cannot make it to the registration celebration events). Registering members who donate to the Family Partnership Campaign at the time of registration will also receive a special Family Partnership Campaign patch at the event. Questions? Calling All Service
Units!
The membership department is working enthusiastically
toward participation in our membership kickoff event
Sept. 26,
Serve to Preserve.
Hopefully you are planning to come out and help us
begin a new and exciting program year!
We would like to create an impactful labyrinth of GSWCF girls, events and service projects to wow the non-members who attend. It is our desire to include scenes or presentations from every region, if not every service unit.
We are looking for pictures or memorabilia from Gold Award projects, Girl Scout trips, service projects, camp moments, STEM activities, or any other exciting happenings that have taken place in your service unit.
Please contact your community development manager for more information!
Help Prevent the Flu
As school goes back into session and troop meetings
start up for the new membership year, here are a few
tips to help prevent the flu from making its rounds
this fall:
-
Wash your hands! Wash hands in warm water and with soap for at least 20 seconds in order to kill germs. Alcohol-based sanitizers can work if hand washing isn’t an option.
-
Use a tissue! When coughing or sneezing, use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose, and immediate throw it away to avoid the spreading of germs.
-
Don’t touch! Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth as germs are easily spread this way.
-
Clean! Disinfect hard surfaces such as door knobs, light switches, table tops and other frequently touched surfaces.
