Program Surveys
If you have yet to take the Cookie Program Survey, there's still
time! It’s important that all girls who participate in the program
complete the surveys below. And thanks to those of you who have
already taken the survey - we appreciate your feedback!
We are conducting age-appropriate surveys as part of a very important project that our Girl Scout Council is doing. By answering the questions, you will help Girl Scouts understand and measure the outcomes of your cookie program experience. Parents, please assist your daughter in completing this survey if you feel she needs help. The data collected is about the girls participation in the program and will greatly aid us in continuing to provide your daughters with the best cookie program experience.

Cookies from Home
Program
Girl Scout troops promoted the Gift of Caring Cookies from Home
program to send cookies to our military men and women through
pre-orders and booth sales. This worthwhile community service
project was popular with customers and will allow GSWCF to send more
than 34,500 packages “from home” to the Support Our Troops
organization this summer.
Super Troops!
The new Super Troop recognition was achieved by 65 troops! More than
625 girls will receive the Goal Achiever patch, a troop pizza party
and a free camp weekend for the troop. Troops achieved this notable
award for having 92% or more participation, a per girl average of
225 packages sold, girl/parent training, joining the Little Brownie
Cookie Club and participating in three activities from the meeting
kits, conducting at least two cookie booths and promoting the Gift
of Caring program. The Super Troops listed by Service Unit are:

I Called Back
Program
The I Called Back program challenged the girls to call back cookie
customers from the initial ordering card and ask if they would like
to purchase more cookies during the third week of the direct sale.
After the cookies were delivered the girls mailed the I Called Back
order card to GSWCF and more than 250 girls received the patch.
Cookie Booth
Locator System
The Cookie Locator System on the GSWCF website was introduced as a
way for potential customers to find a cookie booth in their area.
Most service unit cookie program managers provided the list of all
the cookie booths in their service unit and Little Brownie provided
the Cookie Locator system in which the customer entered a zip code
to find the closest booth. It was a great way for service units to
work with the council to drive booth traffic because during the 2009
cookie season, the Cookie Locator page alone on the GSWCF website
experienced more than 9,700 page views! More than 3,000
requests from GSUSA and from local communities were referred to this
valuable system as well. This proved to be a best practice for the
2009 cookie season that will be featured again in 2010.
Celebrate - It's
Time to Party!
Each troop or service unit should plan a special event to celebrate
its successful cookie program, evaluate its sale and start its
plans for the future. Girls who see their goals fulfilled will
continue to be enthusiastic about the cookie program year after
year. Distribute girl recognitions immediately so each girl’s
accomplishments can be recognized and she can be congratulated.
If you have questions concerning the Cookie Program contact the director of product sales.
