Service Unit Managers
Are you a natural leader and collaborator? Then, the Service Unit Manager (SUM) position is for you! SU Managers are VIPs in each service unit. They basically keep things running smoothly for all the volunteers on their teams in each service unit, which then positively impacts girls, parents and lots and lots of troops! They also:
Welcome new volunteers with open arms and serve as point of contact for all within the service unit
Promote recognition of volunteers – pats on the back, awards, important stuff like that.
Staff support for Service Unit Managers are called Community Membership Managers (or CMMs). Check out your staff support. Not sure which community you’re in? Check out the map to find out. There are some pretty cool ones out there!
Service Unit Manager Training - This is a required course for you! In this course, you will learn basic responsibilities of the Service Unit Manager Position, how your role helps your Service Unit achieve various yearly goals, and brainstorm strategies for overcoming challenges facing your Service Unit.
IMPORTANT: You must take the evaluation survey after watching the video in order to receive credit for the course. There is no certificate for this training.
