Camp Dorothy Thomas is located in southeast Hillsborough County about 25 miles from Tampa and offers more than 220 acres of campgrounds with a pool, archery range, hiking trails and challenge course. Campers can stay in cabins, bunk houses or tents.
Camp Indian Echo (Hudson) is about 43 miles northwest of Tampa and 10 miles northeast of Port Richey. This ecologically undisturbed site features a small lake and rolling land covered with oaks and pines. The 160-acre nature sanctuary offers canoeing, swimming, hiking and a fitness trail. Campers can stay in the Log Cabin or units such as treehouses, tepees, or newer platform tents.
Camp Scoutcrest (Odessa) is a 24-acre camp located on Crescent Lake (northwest Hillsborough County), about 24 miles from Tampa and 30 minutes east of Tarpon Springs. Campers are housed in cabin units and a platform tent unit. Activities include canoeing, swimming, archery and kayaking, just to name a few. Summer Camp happens here!
Camp Wai Lani (Palm Harbor) is on the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 25 miles northwest of Tampa and St. Petersburg. Campers can take a swim in the pool, take aim in archery or get up close to marine life in the touch tanks at the marine lab. The 48-acre camp is excellent for beginning campers, as well as those with advanced experience. Campers are housed in two-story buildings featuring screened-in patios on the first floor.
Camp Wildwood (Wildwood) is about 75 miles northeast of Tampa and 25 miles south of Ocala. Wildwood offers 589 acres of original Florida – piney woods and palmettos in sandy soil, huge live oaks with Spanish moss and marshlands. The campgrounds include a Junior Olympic sized pool, equestrian barn with two lighted riding arenas, nature center, homestead program, compass & geocaching courses, off road biking on miles of biking/hiking trails, archery and game fields. Campers stay in cabins, tents or dormitory style buildings. Camp Wildwood is the only camp to offer the Equestrian Program (link 5.4.) Summer Camp happens here!
Plant City Troop House (Plant City) is 30 minutes east of Tampa in Plant City’s Sansone Park, just off I-4. A lodge and a large grassy program area are available, as well access to a pond and Sansone Park activities.
