Camp Indian Echo Closed Until Further Notice
Due to previously reported water well issues, Camp Indian Echo will remain closed until further notice. Currently, there is a vacant camp ranger position at another GSWCF camp property – Camp Wai Lani – so the current ranger at Indian Echo, Deb D’Elia, will be moving into the Camp Wai Lani ranger position. If you have an existing reservation for camping or plans to attend an event at Camp Indian Echo, please contact Kristie Wiley: (813) 262-1765 to discuss further.
The GSWCF volunteer-led Properties Committee continually reviews and discusses plans for all camps to ensure the council offers the most effective outdoor program services possible while using resources wisely and being fiscally responsibe by managing costs. Information about future property plans will be shared as it becomes available.
The council has five camp properties and the Plant City Troop House, providing many opportunities for resident and day camping as well as other programs.
A summer camp brochure is distributed in the spring with information on programs, dates, locations and age requirements. Whether your daughter is interested in horseback riding, sailing or dramatic arts, there is a place for her at a camp!
Please Note: For directions to camp properties or to schedule a camp visit, please e-mail ayates@gswcf.org or call (813) 281-4475, ext 1690.
